Here are some of the recent projects we've been working on at SmartWorks Software.
G&A Harris - Production Tracking System
An end to end production tracking system for metals manufacturing in New Zealand
G&A Harris had long been using a paper based system to create and tack orders around their facility.
Significant supervisor time was being wasted on tracking down orders and ensuring that they were
completed on time.
We worked with G&A Harris to build a custom production tracking system that would allow them to track orders
from creation to completion, and provide real-time updates on the status of each order.
Southstar - Stock and Manufacturing Management System
Automated production planning for a New Zealand fertiliser coatings manufacturer
Southstar's weekly production planning process took up to 20 hours of specialist admin time. Their
existing inventory system held the orders and stock data, but could not turn it into a practical plan
for each production line.
We built a custom system that uses live Cin7 Core data to schedule production automatically, account for
capacity, downtime, finished stock and raw-material availability, and highlight risks before they disrupt
production. A task that took hours now happens automatically whenever the planning page loads.
